All clear and cleared for takeoff
I went to see the doctor today. I'd had an MRI scan a few weeks ago following an inconclusive x-ray. For some months I've been experiencing a worsening pain in my spine (unusual for me) and the doctor thought it best to check it out. One of the possibilities was that my prostate cancer had returned, but without a prostate in which to find a home it can go elsewhere. I hadn't been bothered at a conscious level but it has been in the back of my mind for a little while, so I was relieved when she said that nothing serious had been found, just a bit of wear and tear. The back pain has reduced too!
I hope you like the image for this post. I found it on google images a coupe of weeks ago. It speaks to me of the Holy Spirit alongside the believer, enabling us to be the hand of God in this world of his that so much needs his loving touch. I can testify that through life's difficulties, including cancer and the challenges of ministry and family life, that by his Spirit, God is my constant companion and enabler. As I get ready for takeoff I go forward in the confidence that he will be right by my side every step of the way.
